Polaris Humanities Circle
Writing, Reading, and Public Speaking Online Courses
Level 1: Higher Elementary & Lower Middle School
Level 2: Higher Middle School & High School
Over years of guiding students into America’s most competitive summer programs and most selective colleges, we have noticed that no matter what students' academic interests are, those with the strongest humanistic sensibilities and writing abilities are most capable of producing application essays with the depth and width of thought to stand out.
Our program is dedicated to deepening the understanding and command of language, while also nurturing a wide range of essential human skills like creativity, imagination, interdisciplinary insight, effective communication, and empathy. Going beyond mere college preparation; our holistic approach seeks to empower students to lead in an increasingly AI-dominated landscape, encouraging them to embrace rather than fear technological changes.
Our small-size classes ensure that students receive adequate attention to become confident readers, writers, and communicators. A variety of approaches are integrated into our uniquely designed thematic reading and writing courses, including class discussions, in-depth analysis of exemplary writing, in-class free-writing, sequenced assignments leading to a bigger project, and peer review.
